ABOUT
About Allen

Allen Paul Weaver III shouldn't be here.
One month after graduating high school in New York, Allen attempted suicide. He was in his early twenties before he could say, with any conviction, that he loved himself. He thought he had no future. But God intervened on a warm July night in 1992. What followed was not a quiet life. It was a full one — husband, father, pastor, author, filmmaker, and now, the man helping churches to "build walls."
Minister. Author. Protector of the Flock.
Allen was licensed to preach in 1994 and ordained in 2005. Over the next three decades, he served in virtually every pastoral role that exists: youth pastor, associate minister, assistant pastor, co-pastor, and interim pastor. Most recently, he concluded just over eleven years of service at Bethesda Baptist Church of New Rochelle, NY, where he served as Assistant Pastor, Co-Pastor, and ultimately Interim Pastor following the passing of his father, the church's Senior Pastor, in 2023.
For thirty years, Allen stood in pulpits, sat with grieving families, counseled the broken, and poured himself into helping people grow in their relationship with Christ, pursue their God-given purpose, and prepare for eternity. He understands the local church from the inside—its culture, its people, its rhythms, and its vulnerabilities. That understanding is exactly what makes him different.
The Wall That Needed Building
In 2019, Allen co-founded Bethesda's Life Safety Security Ministry alongside Minister Timothy McKnight Sr., a retired police detective. Together, they built the ministry from the ground up— attending active shooter training, partnering with law enforcement and security professionals, establishing protocols and procedures, and training volunteers to provide security for Sunday services, meetings, and special events.
When Minister McKnight passed away in 2022, Allen didn't step back. He stepped forward. He continued to lead and oversee the security team until his pastoral tenure concluded in 2025. Since then, he has pursued professional certification in executive protection and security operations, bringing the highest standard of protective training to bear on the unique environment of the local church.
He is a minister who learned to build walls.
The Nehemiah Protocols
Allen's forthcoming book, The Nehemiah Protocols: Effective Security Measures to Protect the Church, releases in September. It is the culmination of thirty years in ministry, six years of hands-on church security leadership, and professional-level security training—a framework that moves chapter by chapter from the example of Nehemiah directly into modern application for today's church.
It is not a devotional. It is not a generic security manual. It is a ministry-rooted, operationally sound methodology built specifically for the local church—by someone who has lived on both sides of the wall.
The book is his twelfth published title.
Beyond the Pulpit
Allen's life extends well beyond ministry. He holds two degrees and has carried his gifts into a remarkable range of arenas.
As a filmmaker, he has produced documentaries across seven African countries, China, and Europe, and has produced two feature-length films based on Book 1 of his Speedsuit Powers trilogy. He has worked for Walt Disney World Inc., Universal Studios Florida, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Macy's, and the American Bible Society.
He volunteers as a clergy liaison with his local police department, working side-by-side with officers to build relationship bridges between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
He is an avid reader who grew up not liking to read—and who now challenges youth and adults alike to discover the world of books, and to tell their own stories. He firmly believes everyone has at least one book within them.
When he is not consulting, writing, or preaching, Allen is spending time with his wife and son, drawing, creating, listening to good music, or flying in a vertical wind tunnel.
