ABOUT

"It wasn't until my early 20's before I was able to truly begin loving myself... Now, I seek to laugh often, love fully & lead well."

Allen attempted suicide 1 month after graduating from high school. He thought he had no future. But God intervened on that warm July night in 1992 and over several years revealed His desires and purpose for Allen's life.

NOW, Allen lives in the future he thought didn't exist! He is a husband and a father. He has 2 degrees. He has been blessed to work for Walt Disney World Inc, Universal Studios Florida, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Macys, and the American Bible Society. As a filmmaker, Allen has produced documentaries in 7 African countries, China and Europe, and has produced 2 feature-length films centered on Book 1 of his Speedsuit Powers Trilogy.  He is the author of 10 books and is working on several more. He desires to maximize every gift and talent God has given him to build others up for Christ's Kingdom.

On October 31,  2025, Allen concluded just over eleven years of service in pastoral ministry at Bethesda Baptist Church of New Rochelle, NY. During his time there, he served as Assistant Pastor, then Co-Pastor and finally Interim Pastor (after his father, who was senior pastor, passed away in 2023).

While at Bethesda he used his 40+ years of life experience, gifts, talents and biblical knowledge to help the members grow in their relationship with Christ, pursue their God-given dreams and purpose, and prepare for Christ's Return. This mission extended to area churches as well through various preaching and teaching invitations.

In 2019, Allen co-founded Bethesda's Life Safety Security Ministry (with Min.Timothy McKnight, Sr. who was a retired police detective). Together, they attended active shooter training and worked with police and security professionals to develop the ministry from the ground up. They also secured professional security training for the volunteers, created protocols and procedures and provided security for Sunday services, meetings and numerous special events. After Min. McKnight's passing in 2022, Allen continued to oversee the team until 2025. He now consults with churches to create security strategies for their congregations.

Allen also volunteered his time as a clergy liaison with the New Rochelle Police Department. He worked side-by-side with officers in an effort to build strong relationship bridges between them and the local community in which they serve.

As you can tell, Allen has many interests and has had some unique experiences (like doing Standup Comedy twice and being an announcer for several robotic competitions in Westchester)!

Allen is an avid reader, who grew up not liking to read, but now encourages youth and adults to dive into the world of books through reading, as well as writing their own stories! He firmly believes everyone has at least one book within them!

Allen also enjoys writing, drawing, creating & watching movies, listening to good music, vertical wind tunnel flying and spending time with is wife and son.

Oh, and he loves a GOOD strawberry shake! :-)

MOST IMPORTANTLY, Allen loves Jesus and knows if it wasn't for HIM, he wouldn't be alive today.
